How to initialize memory card on the LRC cameras

  1. Initializing the memory cards formats, erases, readies them (= speeds up) for future use and protects the innocent from video footage being distributed.
  2. Hence camera users need to do this when they return the cameras (and LRC assistants do it during weekly inventory).
  3. Vixia 4:
    1. hardware buttons:
      1. power on
      2.  image
    2. software buttons:
      1. “menu”
      2. tab: vixia-tab-tools
      3. (scroll down, then tab: ) “Initialize SD”
  4. Vixia 5:
    1. hardware buttons:
      1. power on
      2.  image
      3. home
    2. software buttons:
      1. “other settings”
      2. tab:vixia-tab-tools
      3. (scroll down, then tab: ) “Initialize SD” .
  5. Rebel: Both for 550 (LRCcamera 17,18) and 600 (LRCcamera 19,20): image. Select “Low-level format”: image
