…using animated .gifs. Slower? Compact: 0.25sec,0.5sec, 0.75sec, 1sec, 1.5sec, 2sec, 3sec, 4sec, 5sec, 6sec, 7sec, 8sec, 9sec, 10sec. Or including unmarked frames: 0.25sec, 0.5sec, 0.75sec, 1sec, 1.5sec, 2sec, 3sec, 4sec, 5sec, 6sec, 7sec, 8sec, 9sec, 10sec. 1sec

How a teacher can divide a class into groups, each sharing audio and one screen, in Sanako Study 1200–the ultimate training summary…

  1. … using animated GIFS
    1. make groups (=sessions) like shown here;
    2. share audio/screen within  each group so that (ideal for enforcing oral communication during a shared computer task)
      1. everybody can hear and speak, like shown here (but use option “All in group” instead of pairs in discussion);
      2. everybody can see screen of “model student”  (as shown here), but only screen owner can type/mouse (and draw, using start/Zoomit/CTRL+F1).

Which browser and operating system we could get which Moodle Kaltura webcam assignments to work in

Below please find our current (work in progress) test matrix. Use one of the combinations that worked (“YES”) to avoid problems when taking or grading webcam assignments (or come to the LRC where we set up a working combination). You can view your version of the Kaltura video player and of Adobe Flash by right-clicking on the Kaltura video window.

  8. Click the triangle to listen to your recording (if you do not see the triangle, but a warning at the bottom, have you clicked “allow ” in step 3 above? If you are not sure, press “F5” now to refresh the page, that will bring up the dialogue again for you press “allow ”):

The process normally between ccrss.exe and explorer.exe prevents shutdown…

Why do some room calendars refuse to synch in Outlook?

  1. Problem: I recently had to recreate ("Add calendar"/ "From address book") my calendar tree (groups) in Outlook 2010, and now I notice that
      1. some (especially all tutor "Room" calendars) steadfastly remain blank (e.g. LRCTutor07),
    1. while other room calendars do not (e.g. LRCRoomCOED433b).

  3. The offending calendars can be loaded from internet (being published – with limited details, so that is not a real workaround): e.g. “ITL up t to 2201”.
  4. In the Properties/ Permissions, I can see that for some calendars that synch, I am not listed as Editor (presumably being more than that? Owner?) – but not all calendars that synch (e.g. LRCRoomCOED433b) have this as a requirement.

  6. Is there maybe a limit of how many calendars can be loaded in Outlook at any given time?
  7. Impersonating the calendar and sharing it with myself does not help either: image
  8. In the settings below (albeit a year old), I cannot see a substantial difference either:
